Using sound waves to heal the body

Swiss DolorClast® is also known as shockwave therapy. Swiss DolorClast® is a non-invasive treatment which does not involve the use of medication, anaesthetics, or needles. The high-pressure sound  wave created have many biological effects which are advantageous in chronic conditions such as plantar fasciitis.

When dealing with chronic injuries, rest alone is insufficient to allow for healing. Chronic conditions often can require specialised treatment to stimulate the biological and cellular response necessary to heal the tissue. Swiss DolorClast® is an effective treatment for chronic plantar fasciitis and other chorinc injuries.

Swiss DolorClast® has three main effects on injured tissue:

  • Decreases nerve inflammation. This decrease in nerve inflammation is often instant and is responsible for the dramatic pain reduction the patient usually feels immediately after the treatment.
  • Increase in growth factors and blood flow. Shockwaves result in increased growth factors in the area treated, switching on the immune system to repair the damage to injured tissue.
  • Breakdowns scar tissue and calcification. The high-powered pressure waves have a significant impact on decreasing scar tissue, adhesions, and calcifications, allowing better movement and function in the treated tendon or ligament.

Does Swiss DolorClast® hurt?

Swiss DolorClast® does not require any painkillers or anaesthetic. There is some discomfort during the treatment, this is only for a short period, and the settings on the machine can be modified to improve comfort.

What is the success rate?

Swiss DolorClast® has a success rate of 80%, as a standalone treatment. When Swiss DolorClast® is combined with rehabilitation and strengthening exercises, addressing the contributing factors, and biomechanics, the success rate is often better than 80%. Shockwave Therapy is more effective than cortisone injections and exercise alone.

The treatment only lasts several minutes. There are no needles, and the procedure is a walk-in walk out with no impact on activity or lifestyle.

Swiss DolorClast® Method has helped more than 100 million people regain good quality, active life. Get in touch to find out if Swiss DolorClast® Method could help you.
